Local Woman's Body Found After Being Reported Missing

Sydney Claire Sutherland, 25, was found dead between Grubbs and Newport on Friday
after jogger along State Highway 18.
Around 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, Sutherland was seen on camera at a friend's house
before jogging near her home on State Highway 18.
Family, friends, volunteers, Arkansas Department of Corrections search dogs and
a Arkansas State Police helicopter spent Thursday and Friday searching the area
for Sutherland.
Sutherland’s cell phone was located about a quarter-mile from her home and Highway 67.
A U.P.S. driver told authorities that they had seen Sutherland jogger in the area.
Quake Lewellyn of Newport was arrested and charged yesterday with Capital Murder
following the death of Sutherland. He is currently being held at the Jackson County
Jail.

Sutherland was a Registered Nurse at Unity Health Harris Medical Center in Newport.
