On Saturday, a fight broke out between two passengers on Allegiant Air flight #607 from
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to Provo, Utah. It all happened after one passenger
confronted another passenger for refusing to follow a flight attendant's request to wear
a face mask.
Allegiant Air face mask policy states, "All customers are required to wear a face covering
over their nose and mouth at all times when traveling to help protect them and those
around them". The airline does hand out masks to passengers boarding the flight.
Rylie Lansford, a passenger on the flight posted a video of the incident on her Instagram
account.
The Mesa Police Department escorted passenger Rio James Honaker, 52 of American
Fork, Utah from the flight after police say he became "confrontational with a flight
attendant when asked multiple times to put a mask on."
