Sears has been a stable in the community for over 80 years. Transformco
which bought all the assets of Sears Holdings Corporation early last year,
announced that the location at the Sequoia Mall would close. The official
cloing date is February 2, which is currently under going a liquidation sale.
The store have been at it's current location at 3501 South Mooney Blvd since
1975 after leaving Downtown. The store like many brick and mortar stores are
facing a difficult retail environment and other challenges.
