Protesters Swarm Senator Rand Paul Following Republican National Convention

Last night, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul along with his wife, Kelley and two other women
were mobbed by protesters following the last day of the Republican National Convention.
As seen in the following video, they were walking to their hotel near the White House.
Protesters could be heard asking the Senator Paul about the Black Lives Matter movement.
On June 11, 2020, Paul introduced the "Justice for Breonna Taylor Act" to prohibit no-knock
warrants, which allow law enforcement officials to forcibly enter a home without announcing
their authority or purpose.
The bill is named in memory and honor of Breonna Taylor, a Louisville, Kentucky resident and
EMT who was killed during a police raid on her home in March 2020, which was conducted
under the authority of a no-knock warrant. It would effectively end no-knock raids in the
United States.
After arriving safely to his hotel, the Senator took to Twitter to thank the D.C. Police
Department for saving his life and those in his party.
Just got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House. Thank you to @DCPoliceDept for literally saving our lives from a crazed mob.
