Magnitude 3.1 Earthquake Rocks Parts Of New Jersey

At around 2:00 A.M. Wednesday morning, a magnitude 3.1 earthquake rocked parts of
New Jersey. It's epicenter was located 19 miles southeast of Edison and could be
felt for miles. No major damaged has been reported at this time.
The first ever earthquake in New Jersey was on November 30, 1783, with a total of
98 felt earthquakes since then. The strongest earthquake was a magnitude 4.8
earthquake that occurred on August 23, 1938.
