Workers at Amazon's JFK8 Fulfillment Center go on strike
Workers at Amazon's JFK8 Fulfillment Center went on strike on Monday,
March 30 due to the company's failure to keep them safe during the
coronavirus pandemic. Over 4,500 employees work at the JFK8 Fulfillment
Center which is located in the NYC borough of Staten Island. Fears of the
coronavirus at the facility have sparked the protest. Employees argue that
Amazon's management is not concerned for their well being during this
pandemic. They would like for the facility to close for at least two weeks
and be sanitized. Recently, Amazon announced it work hire over 100,000 at
various of it's locations nationwide.
