Goodlettsville-based Papyrus closing all stores nationwide

Greeting card and stationery store chain Papyrus is closing all of its
stores in North America. Papyrus parent company Schurman Retail Group
will be closing all 254 stores over the next 2 months. Around 1,400
employees will be affected by the store closings. According to the Greeting
Card Association, Americans bought about 6.5 billion greeting cards last
year. The internet has caused the greeting card and stationery business to
decrease over the last ten years. Their are a number of ways to create
cards online, making it easy to customize with little effort.
