Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban released a statement today regarding his decision to no
longer play the national anthem before Mavericks home games.
The national anthem hadn't been played at any of the preseason or regular season
games this season. Monday night's home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves was the
first game of the season played in front of a limited number of fans.
Cuban tells "The Athletic" that he doesn't plan on including the national anthem in the
foreseeable future.
