As cities both large and small deal with the negative impact
of COVID-19 when it comes to tourism, the Jefferson Convention
and Visitors Bureau Tourism Board came together to discuss
the city's 2020-2021 Proposed Budget. At Monday evening's meeting,
a number of issues dealing with how the city would be advertised
across media outlets was discussed. The Board decided to eliminate
all print advertising and spend more on television and digital
adveritising. The 2020-2021 Proposed Budget a projected revenue of
$135,000 with expenses to be $135,000. $98,700 of that will be spent
on advertising.
